A conditional belief is a type of belief that requires belief in a predetermined set of beliefs.

In the Astronist philosophy of religion, a conditional is a type of belief that is dependent upon a pre-existing belief before itself can be believed. A conditional belief may also be referred to as a derived belief because it derivates and remains dependent upon a prior belief.

An example of which is the belief in the truth of the Christophanies experienced by Faustina Kowalska being conditional to the belief in Jesus Christ as the incarnation of God the Son.

Conditionality

With the development of the concept of the conditional belief came the development of the principle of conditionality. Conditionality essentially states that all beliefs should be considered according to what they are conditional to before they are believed.
