Astronism in Hong Kong refers to the presence of the Astronist religion in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, as part of the worldwide Astronist Institution.

Astro-Hong Kongese philosophy, Astro-Hong Kongese religion, or Hong Kongese Astronism, and widely known as Tiānwénjiào among other names, refers to the presence of Astronism in Hong Kong. This territory is under management and philosophical jurisdiction of The Institution of The Philosophy of Millettism for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, which is under authority of The Institution of the Philosophy of Millettism for the People’s Republic of China, an exiled national subsidiary for the worldwide Astronist Institution. Astronism is popularly marketed to the general public as Astrofaith, or simply as Astro under various different brands including AstroFaith and AstroChurch. The Institution of the Philosophy of Millettism for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, oversees the construction and maintenance of observatories and planetariums throughout its jurisdiction. Hong Kong is split into eighteen administrative districts and is set to hold one Grand Observatory, which will also be the only Astronist observatory in Hong Kong. This national branch of The Institution of The Philosophy of Millettism manages the official representation and depiction of Astronism throughout this territory, including efforts to protect the identity of the philosophy with the intention of further disseminating it throughout the territory. History of Astronism in Hong Kong. As of November 2019, Astronism is not recognised as a valid religion or religious group in Hong Kong. According to the Astronist Institution's late 2019 report called the Demographics of Astronism, Hong Kong had a population of just 7,000 Astronists. Cometan’s 2019 visit. Astronism has held a presence in Hong Kong officially since Cometan’s visit to the Special Administrative Region in late August 2019 during the Hong Kong 2019 protests.
