Astro-French Polynesian philosophy, or French Polynesian Astronism refers to the presence of Astronism in the Overseas Collectivity of French Polynesia. This territory is under management and philosophical jurisdiction of The Institution of The Philosophy of Millettism for French Polynesia, which is under the authority of The Institution of The Philosophy of Millettism for the French Republic a national subsidiary for the worldwide Astronist Institution. The Institution of the Philosophy of Millettism for French Polynesia oversees the construction and maintenance of observatories and planetariums throughout its jurisdiction. French Polynesia is split into five administrative subdivisions and is set to hold one Grand Observatory in the capital city of Pape’ete, which will also be the only observatory in French Polynesia.  This national branch of The Institution of The Philosophy of Millettism manages the official representation and depiction of Astronism throughout this territory, including efforts to protect the identity of the philosophy with the intention of further disseminating it throughout the territory. It is The Institution alone that is granted the status of proprietor to the philosophy in this territory as any other organisations or institutions proclaiming such a role are deemed as unauthorised proprietors and are therefore considered as part of the anti-Institutionist movement. History of Astronism in French Polynesia. As of November 2019, Astronism is not recognised as a valid religion or religious group in French Polynesia. According to the Astronist Institution's late 2019 report called the Demographics of Astronism, French Polynesia had a population of 460 Astronists.
